Opened : August, 2000 Location : No.9 / 2, Main Road, Lakshmidevinagar, Laggere, Opp Veena education Trust, Bengaluru Purpose : Home for boys deprived of opportunities Background : Nele Narendra is named after the Poorvashrama name of Swami Vivekananda. Initially, the Nele sheltered 15 boys. It was started in the house of Sri Gangadhara Shastri at Thyagarajanagar, then shifted to New Timber Yard Layout in Mysore Road and then to the present address in Laggere. Present strength of children : 66 Age Group : 6 to 18 Classes : 1st to 9th Standard Schools : Veena Vidya Samsthe, Lakshmi Devi Nagara, Laggere Remarks : Nele Narendra (Known by the Poorvashrama name of Swami Vivekananda) is functioning since seventeen years. It started with 15 boys. It was started in the house of Sri Gangadhara Shastri at Thyagarajanagar. Later on it was shifted to New Timber Yard Layout building of Sri Satish Goyal, our well-wisher.
